SQUAT SHOE
"dīligēns Squat Shoe"
"Injury from Squatting"
The spinal structures (such as the discs or facet joints) may become strained, inflamed, and irritated as a result of this tension over the period. This injury can be brought on by accidentally moving the hips to one side or by excessive lower back flexion or extension.

Why squat is dangerous?
Weightlifting injuries resulting from competitions, that rank is a tad jumbled:
Squat (3%), Bench press (4%), and Deadlift (7%).
When performed correctly and with a reasonable weight, squats and deadlifts are no more dangerous than the traditional bench press.
The problem is that these lower-body exercises recruit muscles from head to toe. As a result, sensitive backs, knees, ankles, and other joints might suffer harm from even a tiny form mistake. One half-ass (or cheat) rep during either of these exercises is all it takes to cause:
* Lower back and knee injuries
* Neck injuries
* Trap tightness
* Pulled hamstrings

Inspiration Board
Sole Design
I Inspired by Otsunika Tiger founder ‘Kihachiro Onitsuka’. He designed the soles inspired by the octopus’ sucker. This sole was influenced for stronger grip. For more gripping power, my shoe soles are based on the lizard’s feet. Moreover, the stability of the shoe was inspired by the powerful straps used in lorries.
Using 3d printer and Illustration tool, 4 different soles are designed. It was influenced by the lizard’s foot pattern and inspired the octopus’s foot pattern for stronger grip.

Sole Material Study
- Eva Foam (midsole): EVA is a foam commonly used in the midsoles of sneakers that provides excellent shock absorption when you walk or run.
- Neoprene (Insole): Neoprene rubber is an inexpensive and effective tool to act as a barrier against moisture, heat, cold, sound, and even injury.
- Contact Latex (Bottom Sole): This is the top-tier latex type, sometimes referred to as “Supreme Latex”. It is the go-to match-day latex for many professionals, and is used on the palms of the Rectrix 1.0 Goalkeeping Gloves.
Testing Terms
A: Eva Foam/ Neoprene / Contact Latex
B: Neoprene / Contact Latex
C: Eva Foam / Contact Latex
Sole User Testing
Sole User Testing is identifying a Sole that can adequately support ankles, achilles tendons, and knees in persons of various biological genders that squat from little to heavy weight (45 lb to 315 lb) 0-2 times per week
Although it was user testing through a small group, what is certain is that ‘C(Eva Foam / Contact Latex)’ will be the most likely end result. The sole that reduces stability and friction on the ground was C (Eva Foam / Contact Latex), and it was not too high and had a proper hardness.

Design Development
Beginning with the fundamentals of ideational sketching, Most of my shoe design is start with vintage shoe, which remind the nostalgia for customers. Therefore, my squat shoe become to design by “Nike air Flightposite. 1”
I develop a broad range of design solutions. These are generally “low fidelity” sketches that represent the general idea rather than specific forms. It makes me learn what kinds of functions have to designated in this shoe. Strap and Velcro can fix the feet on the shoe, which is allowing the tightened the shoe and feet. Also the material of the shoe body also important to cover user’s feet safety.
